THE SHORT VERSION

I'm Mitchell Bocchini, a game development student at Niagara College completing an advanced diploma with a specialization in programming and design. I'm the networking lead on my capstone project, Dual Orbit, a cooperative asymmetric multiplayer game built in Unity.

My work lives at the intersection of systems design and cooperative game experiences. I care deeply about how games feel when played with another person, the tension of shared stakes, the satisfaction of synchronized action, and the chaos that makes co-op memorable.

THE LONGER VERSION

My path into game development is unconventional. Before code, I spent years in culinary management running kitchens, building menus from scratch for new restaurants, and leading teams through high-pressure service. I transitioned into game development during the pandemic and haven't looked back.

That background shapes how I work. Kitchens run on systems, communication, and execution under pressure and so does a good game studio. I know what it takes to ship something, lead a team, and stay calm when things break at the worst possible moment.

Right now I'm deep in Unity networking architecture relay-based multiplayer, server-authoritative design, and the genuinely humbling experience of debugging race conditions across client-host sessions. I also compose audio pipelines, write game dialogue, and have been known to model a 3D asset or two when the situation demands it.
